Magnolia Creek Alumni Program:
Connect. Commit. Cultivate.
Our Guiding Principles: The Three Cs
The Three Cs provide the foundation for the Magnolia Creek Alumni Program.
our communities to our alumni and their families in a meaningful way.
to serving and guiding our alumni and their families.
strong communities that will continue their recovery journeys together.
Alumni Program Components
Our Alumni Relations Team facilitates discharge interviews for Magnolia Creek clients as well as various support groups for clients, alumni, and their families to help them connect with and commit to the program.
During each interview, the Alumni Relations Coordinator introduces the program, answers any questions, and collects membership information.
Throughout each client’s stay, the discharge group allows clients to check in, share their experiences, find support, and receive education on the program.
Alumni Support Group
Within this weekly group, alumni can check in, share their experiences, and find support.
Family Support Group
Within this weekly group, families can check in, share their experiences, and find support.
We know that consistent contact cultivates relationships. After leaving Magnolia Creek, each alumni receives an initial check-in, as well as ongoing scheduled check-ins. During these check-ins, recovery challenges and the needed resources are identified and addressed so our alumni and their families feel supported.
The Group Me App and Private Facebook Page
The app and private page allow alumni and their families to instantly connect with other program members. Members can post, build friendships, access support groups, track events and milestones, and more. The Alumni Relations Coordinator administers groups and provides support as well as holds all members accountable to each group’s rules.
Our alumni program is run, governed, and supported by our volunteer committee, which works in conjunction with our Alumni Relations Coordinator. The only requirements for committee membership include attending the once-a-month meetings and participating in most alumni community events.
We believe in connection through group activities! Recovery is about being a part of life and experiencing new events. The volunteer committee votes on various quarterly events, including reunions, beach trips, bowling, and more.
What Our Alumni and Their Families Are Saying
“Magnolia Creek saved my life. It is an incredible facility that brings care to the client as a whole. You are NOT just a number here. It’s the BEST care I have ever received in my life, and I’ve been in a lot of treatment. I would suggest Magnolia Creek to anyone who is struggling with an ED or any other mental health issues!”– Grateful Magnolia Creek Alumnus
“You are changing people’s lives. There is no greater thing than what you all are doing. Thank you for treating our daughter with respect and helping her recover from her eating disorder. What a gift you have given to us. We can never say thank you enough.”– Grateful Parent of a Magnolia Creek Alumnus
“Magnolia Creek saved me, healed me, and guided me to FREEDOM! I just want to say to others with an eating disorder that there is hope. I had an eating disorder for 14 years and was terrified to go to treatment. Dr. H talked me into going after many calls and giving recovery a fair chance. When I finally got there, I had the best team (Maria, Jessica, and Leigh-Ann) work with me and push me because they saw my potential. I am forever grateful and am thinking about going to school for counseling or even possibly nutrition. We all deserve recovery and to be happy.”– Grateful Magnolia Creek Alumnus
“Thank you, Magnolia Creek! My daughter had another episode until she decided to get treatment. She is now stable thanks to the help and guidance obtained during her treatment. The staff is friendly, and Magnolia Creek has good amenities as well.”– Grateful Parent of a Magnolia Creek Alumnus
“10/10 isn’t enough to qualify the treatment I received at the Creek, a positive atmosphere all day long and every person in the facility giving you support and good wishes. The counselors are the best you can find, and the staff members helped to solve any question I had. A great team of work which made my recovery possible.”– Grateful Magnolia Creek Alumnus
"Magnolia Creek is an exceptional treatment facility with knowledgeable and compassionate staff. My daughter has been fighting an eating disorder and other addictions for years and Magnolia Creek is the first facility that allowed for her to truly heal, change, and grow into the amazing young woman that we knew she could be. Our family was included in treatment, and we were given the tools and education that we were lacking and taught the best ways to support our daughter in her recovery. The Admissions Team (Carolyn) was amazing, and the Clinical Director (Dr. C) was nothing short of a miracle for us. We have been so blessed to have found this wonderful facility and will be forever thankful for saving our daughter’s life.”– Grateful Parent of a Magnolia Creek Alumnus
“Magnolia Creek changed my life. My team cared deeply in listening to me, working with me as an individual, and making sure I had the support I needed to recover properly. The techs that are with you all day become like family, the nurses are phenomenal and want to see you succeed. To be honest, they saved my life in the darkest time of my life, and I will forever be grateful. Magnolia Creek is defense and peaceful, the perfect place to focus on yourself and your recovery. I can’t write enough positive things about everyone there. If you need help, truly consider this as your first choice.”– Grateful Magnolia Creek Alumnus
“Magnolia Creek is a center that I highly recommend. My daughter became anorexic at the age of 17 and then two years later she became bulimic for 15 years. Magnolia Creek gave our family back our daughter. They literally saved her life. The treatment and counseling she received helped her climb out of the darkness she was so wrapped up in. It’s been 11 months since she entered treatment and seven months since she left. She has put in all the work and effort to focus on a healthy lifestyle, and I don’t know what our family would have done without Magnolia Creek. I am forever grateful to all the staff; she has lifelong friends that she made that she calls her sisters. Anyone struggling with an eating disorder should call Magnolia Creek!”– Grateful Parent of a Magnolia Creek Alumnus
